How we count
Every figure on this site comes from one public scan of clinic homepages. Here is exactly what we did, what it can tell you, and what it cannot.
- Numbers you can check
Our figures come from a public scan of clinic homepages, and we publish how we counted.
How we count - Your accounts stay yours
Your domain, website and online profile are in your name from day one.
How we work - Month to month
No long contract. Thirty days’ notice, and your accounts and numbers stay with you.
Read the FAQ - No patient information needed
We work on your website, profiles and settings. Patient records stay in your clinic.

A public list of places, by clinic type
We start from a public places dataset (Overture Maps) and pick a random sample of clinics with a website in each clinic type, across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. Clinic types include physiotherapy, chiropractic, dental, optometry, massage, naturopathic, podiatry, veterinary and others. Sites that did not load are left out of every percentage, so each figure is "of the sites that loaded".
One page, the homepage, the way a patient sees it first
We load each homepage once and record what is visible in its code and text: whether there is a link or code from a known online booking system, which one; whether a phone number is the only way in; whether the page is set up for phones; the year in the footer; which site platform it runs on; whether it shows a review feed or star rating; whether it mentions an offer for new patients; and whether a chat box or an email address is on the page. We follow each site's robots.txt rules and make one request per site.
Limits you should know about
- We only look at the homepage. A booking link on another page, or behind a menu that needs a click to load, is counted as "not found".
- We recognise known booking and review tools. A tool we do not recognise is counted as "none found".
- We cannot see what is behind a login, what happens after a click, or how a clinic runs its phones.
- Counts describe what a patient sees on a homepage. They are not a judgement about the quality of care.
- A sample is a guide, not a census. Small groups (for example chiropractic, 11,225 sites) carry more uncertainty than large ones (physio, 10,253).
November 2026, frozen
The figures on the site come from a snapshot taken on 4 November 2026. Our scan keeps running and its method gets refined, so we only update the site when we have rechecked a figure on purpose, and we say so when we do.
Not sure where your clinic stands? We’ll look at it the way a new patient does and send a short written report. No pitch.
Run the same kind of check on your clinic
The website grader applies the same kind of homepage checks to one site, and the marketing self-check helps you decide where to start. The audit looks at your whole site, your online profile, your reviews and your ads.
