Physical therapy Google ads that fill first visits, not just click counts
Ads work when a patient who clicks can book in a minute. We run them for physio and chiro clinics once the basics are ready, in your own Google Ads account, with your spend visible to you.
This is for clinics with room in the schedule: solo owners, growing practices, multi-location groups and new clinics that need first visits sooner than search alone will bring them.

- Numbers you can check
Our figures come from a public scan of clinic homepages, and we publish how we counted.
How we count - Your accounts stay yours
Your domain, website and online profile are in your name from day one.
How we work - Month to month
No long contract. Thirty days’ notice, and your accounts and numbers stay with you.
Read the FAQ - No patient information needed
We work on your website, profiles and settings. Patient records stay in your clinic.

1. Ads come after the basics
We start with the audit. If booking, your online profile or your pages leak patients, we fix those before you pay for more traffic.
2. 33% and 26%
In our scan of 21,478 physio and chiro homepages, 33% of physio sites and 26% of chiro sites had no online booking we could find. How we counted.
3. Your account, your name
Ads run in your clinic’s own Google Ads account. You pay Google directly and can see every dollar.
4. You approve before anything runs
Ads, pages and budgets wait for your yes.
Why ads only work once the basics do
A patient searching “physio near me” or “back pain chiropractor” wants one thing: to get seen. They click an ad, land on a page, look for a way to book, and decide in seconds. If the page loads slowly, asks them to call during office hours or sends them to a generic homepage, the click is wasted. You paid for it anyway.
Ads amplify whatever is already there. If the booking path works, they send you more booked first visits. If it leaks, they leak more.
1. Built for intent
We focus on searches that signal a wish to book, such as a condition plus your area, and keep out the searches that send the wrong visitors.
2. Built for the landing page
An ad about sciatica lands on a page about sciatica, with a clear Book online button, not on your homepage.
3. Built for counting
Calls, booking-link clicks and form submissions are tracked, so the report shows what the spend produced.
Google Ads by clinic type or stage
1. New clinic
You need first visits and a full schedule soon. Ads can help, but only if the profile, site and booking link are ready on day one. We check that first.
2. Solo or small clinic
A small budget and a short list of services. We keep the campaign tight: one or two visit types, a tight area and clear limits.
3. Growing clinic
You have room for a new practitioner or a new service. Ads can fill that capacity, with a page for each service and tracking that shows which one brings bookings.
4. Multi-location group
Each location has its own area, schedule and budget. We set up campaigns by location so spend follows where you have space.
5. Already running ads
You are spending, but results are unclear or the ad account sits with someone else. We review what you have, check where the clicks go and tell you what we would change.
What’s included
1. A readiness check
Before any spend, we check your booking path on a phone, your online profile, your reviews and the page each ad would point to. If something is not ready, we say so and fix it first.
2. Campaign structure
Campaigns built around first visits, grouped by service and location, with a daily budget you set and a limit you are comfortable with.
3. Ad copy checked against rules
Ad wording that is plain, specific and with no cure claims or comparisons, checked against your regulator’s guidance. You approve every ad.
4. Landing pages that match
For each ad group, a page that matches the search: the condition or treatment, who it is for and a Book online button.
5. Conversion tracking
Calls, booking-link clicks and form submissions set up so your report can show them. We set up counts only (calls, clicks, requests), never names or health details.
6. Search-term review
Each month we read the actual searches that triggered your ads and remove the ones that waste budget.
Not sure where your clinic stands? We’ll look at it the way a new patient does and send a short written report. No pitch.
Policy and tracking details
Health advertising has limits, and Google Ads has its own rules on top of your regulator’s. Here is what an owner should know.
1. Sensitive categories
Google treats health as a sensitive interest category in its personalised advertising policy. Advertiser-curated audiences, such as remarketing lists and customer lists, are not supported for these categories. Ads shown to people searching for a term, such as “physio near me”, are the normal and simplest approach.
2. No patient lists
We do not upload a patient list to find similar people, and we do not follow a visitor who read your sciatica page around the internet. That is policy, and it is also good practice for privacy.
3. Patient privacy in tracking
Tracking counts calls, clicks and form submissions. It does not need names, diagnoses or appointment details, and we never ask for them. Privacy rules differ by country, province and state, so ask your regulator or a lawyer if you are unsure.
4. Your regulator’s advertising rules
These apply to the words in your ads and on your landing pages. We avoid cure claims, guarantees, comparisons and anything you cannot support. This is not legal advice.
5. Policy changes
Ad policies change. We check the current Google Ads policy pages before building and when something changes, and we tell you if a rule affects your account.
What we write or set up for you
1. The ads
Short, plain headlines and descriptions that say what you treat, where you are and how to book.
2. The landing pages
One page per service or condition you want to advertise, written for a patient and not for a search engine.
3. The tracking
A tracking set-up for calls, booking-link clicks and form submissions, in your Google Ads account.
4. The hand-over
Ads are part of a Fix it once project: we build the account, campaigns, tracking and landing pages, then train your team to run them and read the numbers. Our monthly care covers your website only for now, so the account stays in your hands. How reporting works.
Platforms and tools we work with
- Google Ads. Your clinic’s own account, with us added by invitation as a manager. We never run ads in an account you cannot see.
- Google Business Profile. Linked to your ads where it helps, with a working booking link.
- Google Analytics. For tracking visits and booking-link clicks.
- Jane and Cliniko. We work with Jane and Cliniko. Using something else? Tell us. We point ads at your booking page; we do not connect to patient records.
- WordPress, Squarespace and Wix. For landing pages and tracking tags.
Built to convert
1. A Book button that works on a phone
This is where we spend the most effort. If a patient cannot book in about a minute, we fix that before we spend more.
2. One ad, one page
Each ad goes to the page that matches the search. Patients who land where they expected to land stay longer.
3. A speed check
A slow page costs patients before they read a word. We check how fast the landing page loads on a phone.
4. A fast reply
Calls and form requests need a reply the same day. We help the front desk with a script. See the front desk phone script.
5. Counting patients, not clicks
We report booking requests and calls, not just click counts. Ask every new patient how they found you, and tell us what they say.
How it works
1. Marketing audit
We look at your online profile, booking path, pages and reviews, and send a short written report. It also tells you whether ads would pay off yet.
2. Plan
If ads make sense, we agree on the services, area and a budget you are comfortable with.
3. The fixed set-up
We build the campaign, the landing pages and the tracking for one fixed price, quoted in writing before you sign. Ad spend is paid to Google separately.
4. Your approval
You read the ads, the pages and the budget. Nothing runs without your yes.
5. Launch
The ads go live in your Google Ads account. We watch the first weeks closely.
6. Monthly care (optional)
We review search terms, trim waste, test new ads and adjust budgets, and send one plain report. Stop any time.
Not sure where your clinic stands? We’ll look at it the way a new patient does and send a short written report. No pitch.
After launch, or ongoing care
The first weeks are for learning what your area responds to. After that, ads need regular attention: search terms drift, competitors change and seasons shift demand.
- Review search terms and block the ones that waste budget
- Test new ad wording and new landing pages
- Adjust budgets and areas to follow your schedule
- Check that calls and booking-link clicks still count correctly
- Flag any ad or page that may conflict with your regulator’s rules
- Send one plain report: spend, calls, booking requests and what changed
Why work with us
1. Built for private practices
We work with private practices, physio and chiro first, plus dental and optometry, so the services, searches and rules are the ones you face.
2. Our own scan
We checked 21,478 physio and chiro homepages ourselves. We know how many clinic sites had no online booking we could find, so we check this before any ad spend.
3. You own every account
Your Google Ads account, your online profile and your site are in your clinic’s name. You pay Google directly.
4. Nothing goes live without your approval
Ads, pages and budgets wait for you.
5. Plain monthly reports
Spend, calls, booking requests and changes, in one page.
6. Checked against regulator rules
We check ad wording against your regulator’s published guidance and flag anything risky. We do not give legal advice.
If you are paying for clicks but not getting patients, something’s missing
Many ad problems are not about the ad. They sit between the click and the booking. These are the six we look for first.
1. Ads that land on the homepage
The patient searched for sciatica and landed on a page with twelve conditions. They leave.
2. No online booking
In our scan, 49% of physio and 45% of chiro homepages had no online booking we could find. A click that lands on a site with no booking path is paid for and lost.
3. Searches from the wrong people
Without regular checks, ads can appear for jobs, courses, home exercise videos or other cities.
4. Nothing is counted
Without call and booking-link tracking, you cannot tell whether the spend produced patients.
5. A slow, clumsy mobile page
Many searches happen on a phone, and a page that loads slowly loses visitors before they read a word. We check on a phone first.
6. No capacity to book
If the schedule is full or the front desk is slow to answer, ads pay for a problem you cannot yet solve. We say so.
Questions owners ask
Should we run ads now?
Not always. The audit shows whether your booking and pages are ready. If they are not, we say so and fix those first.
How much should we spend?
It depends on your area, your services and your goals. We help you set a starting budget and a limit you are comfortable with. You pay Google directly.
How soon will we see results?
Clicks can start quickly. Learning what works takes a few weeks of data. We tell you what we are seeing as it comes in, and we do not promise a number of patients.
Do we sign a long contract?
No. Ongoing care is month to month. The first piece of work is a fixed scope agreed in writing.
Who owns the ad account?
You do. It is set up in your clinic’s name and we work through invited access.
Who pays Google?
You do, directly from your own account, so the spend is always visible. Anything beyond the fixed set-up is agreed in writing first.
Can we use our patient list to find similar patients?
No. Google does not support advertiser-curated audiences such as customer lists for health categories, and we would not upload patient information anyway.
Will ads hurt our standing with our regulator?
Rules vary by college and board. We check ad wording against your regulator’s guidance and flag anything risky. You approve everything, and we do not give legal advice.
Can ads mention a condition?
Often yes, if the wording is plain and does not promise a cure. We write to your regulator’s guidance and Google’s current policies, and you approve.
Do ads replace good SEO?
No. Ads start quickly and stop when you stop paying. Your profile, pages and reviews keep working. We usually look at those first.
What do you need from us?
Access to your Google Ads account (or help creating one), your booking page, your online profile and your site. Plan on a few hours across the project.
Do you work with our booking software?
We work with Jane and Cliniko. Using something else? Tell us in the form and we will say whether we can help.
