Analytics and call tracking that count booked visits, not clicks
Calls, booking requests and booking-link clicks are the numbers closest to your schedule. Many clinic sites count none of them. Others count everything except them.
We set up analytics and tracking that answer one question: where did this month’s new patients come from? It is all in your clinic’s name, it respects each visitor’s cookie choice, and it never touches patient records.
- Numbers you can check
Our figures come from a public scan of clinic homepages, and we publish how we counted.
How we count - Your accounts stay yours
Your domain, website and online profile are in your name from day one.
How we work - Month to month
No long contract. Thirty days’ notice, and your accounts and numbers stay with you.
Read the FAQ - No patient information needed
We work on your website, profiles and settings. Patient records stay in your clinic.
Privacy policy
You cannot improve what nobody counts
Of the 81,024 Canadian and US clinic homepages we read, 44% had no online booking we could find and 51% had no tap-to-call link. If a patient has no clear button to tap, there is nothing to count either.
Good tracking starts with a clear path to book, then marks each step on it. That way a report can tell a click on your online profile from a click in a newsletter. How we counted.
What we set up
GA4, in your clinic’s name
Google Analytics 4 on your site, owned by your clinic, with the booking button, phone link and contact form marked as things to count.
Google Tag Manager and Search Console
Tags kept in one place so they are easy to check, and Search Console to see which searches bring visits.
Booking-link tracking
Each Book online button tagged, so a click from your homepage, your online profile, an ad or an email shows up separately.
Call tracking, if you want it
A tracking number on your website counts calls that come from it. It is optional, and your online profile number stays as it is.
Booked-visit attribution
Booking-link clicks and booking requests from your site. Calls we can track. First visits, if your clinic shares the count. We keep each one separate and never add them up without saying so.
Consent-aware set-up
A cookie banner that matches your audience, and analytics that follow the visitor’s choice. Privacy rules differ by province and state, so we set it up for where you practise. This is not legal advice.
Kept away from patient data
No tracking on pages that hold health information, such as intake forms or booking screens inside your software, and no patient details sent to Google, Meta or anyone else.
A test before it counts
We test every tracked button, link and form ourselves before the first report.
How tracking gets set up
1. Marketing audit
We check what you can count today: analytics, your online profile, your booking link and your phone.
2. A tracking plan
What we will count, which accounts we need access to and whether you want call tracking. You approve it first.
3. Set up and test
Tags, events and consent, installed and tested on your site.
4. A baseline
Month one is a starting picture, so later months have something to compare against.
5. Report it
The numbers feed one plain monthly page. See Reporting.
The tools we work in
- Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and Search Console. All in your clinic’s name.
- Google Business Profile. Calls, direction requests and website clicks it already reports.
- Jane and Cliniko. We tag links to your booking pages. Using something else? Tell us.
- WordPress, Squarespace and Wix. For adding tags to the site you already have.
- A call tracking number. Optional, and only with your approval.
Not sure where your clinic stands? We’ll look at it the way a new patient does and send a short written report. No pitch.
How tracking fits the two ways to work
Fix it once
Tracking is set up and tested as part of the one-time project, with a baseline report and a short session showing your team where to look.
We manage it
Our monthly plan covers your website, so we check tracking every month and update it when your site or booking software changes. See Website management.
Part of step 4: know what works
Tracking is what makes the monthly report honest. See step 4: know what works, alongside reporting and strategy and planning.
Questions owners ask
Can you tell exactly which patients came from marketing?
Not exactly. Calls and booking requests can often be traced. Walk-ins and word of mouth cannot, so we also give your front desk one question to ask new patients.
Do you see patient information?
No. We work from counts and settings. Tracking stays off pages that hold health information.
Do we need a tracking number?
No. Without one, we count taps on your phone link and calls your online profile reports, and the report says what that misses.
Does tracking slow the site down?
It adds very little when set up properly. We keep tags to what we actually use.
Who owns the data?
Your clinic. Every account is in your name, and you can open any of them at any time.
